Market Match is a farmers' market incentive program that offers bonus dollars to CalFresh (also known as the food stamps program, or SNAP) participants who use their benefits at the farmers' market, as well as WIC and Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program participants and SSI Recipients.

Customers who receive CalFresh benefits can visit the market managers' booth where they can exchange their benefits for tokens using their EBT cards, and can receive bonus Market Match tokens matching EBT spending, dollar for dollar, up to $10 per market per day. Market Match tokens can be used for fresh fruits and vegetables.

Market Match for EBT is offered at all North Coast Growers' Association Farmers' Markets in Eureka, Arcata and McKinleyville as well as the farmers markets in Garberville and Fortuna.

New for 2016, Market Match is offered to SSI recipients! We are excited to be offering SSI Market Match Vouchers at our market info booths Eureka, Arcata and McKinleyville locations since April 2016 (see our locations and times page for the full schedule). Vouchers picked up at these locations may also be spent at the Garberville and Fortuna markets. This program is made possibly by a Community Grant from St. Joseph Health Humboldt.

Funding assistance for the program also comes from the Humboldt County Health and Human Services Social Services Department though a CalFresh Outreach and Promotion grant.
